Learn to help children tap into their own creative energy and how to combine the many benefits of yoga and art into one dynamic class!
YogArt Teacher Training will consist of lecture styled instruction on both Yoga and Art, practical application of teaching in a group setting and guidance on designing curriculum that compliments both yoga and art. You’ll also be encouraged to connect to your own inner YogArtist through various creative and fun exercises.
This training is designed for people who love children, yoga teachers or those who currently work with children on a regular basis such as teachers, early childhood educators, daycare/day home staff, child councillors and parents. Minimum previous yoga experience of a personal practice is required. Previous 200hr training would be a definite asset. (exceptions will be considered on a 1:1 basis).
If you’re wondering if this program is a fit for you. Please contact us directly to discuss at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All teacher trainers will be given an opportunity to complete a practicum, consisting of in class teaching with a qualified YogArtist instructor prior to receiving their YogArt certification. If you’re coming from outside the province of Alberta, alternative arrangements can be made to ensure you feel supported and ready to teach YogArt classes.
YogArt Teacher Training includes all the resources you need to start your Children's Yoga and Art classes including:
1) 2 YogArt and Yoga Business specific coaching sessions on how to start your new business. More details will be given upon registration as this portion is tailored to each teacher's experience and needs to ensure they are set up for success.

If you are considering the training but don't live in Calgary, arrangements can be made to ensure you can meet the requirements and feel supported and ready to begin teaching your Yoga and Art classes through Skype, Video and phone call mentorship.
Why YogArt Teacher Training?
YogArt is a growing, Calgary based company offering yoga classes to children between the ages 2 - 12, teens, and families. At YogArt we believe in fully intergrated classes open to participants of varying abilities and special needs.
YogArt believes in the supported and healthy development of today’s youth through yoga and the arts. The amount of young children and teens presenting with health issues, obesity, anxiety, and depression is on the rise. Healing around these issues can be supported through a modern, proactive and holistic approach to health. YogArt programs support children and youth physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally through the intergration of Yogic principles (including postures, breath work and meditation) and through the allowance of free flow artistic and creative expression.
YogArt incorporates many of the principles and standards outlined in other Yoga Teacher Training Programs and governing bodies such as Yoga Alliance. We strive to exceed standards by offering intergrated teacher support through mentorship and by offering further trainings and collaborative oportunities. We believe the YogArt program to be unique and strive to constantly improve it through research and collaborations with child care and mental health specialists.
